Mission statement

Top level Static Pages

Wizzy Digital Courier's mission is to radically drop the cost of Internet access in every aspect, from equipment, to phone rates, to remote access, to the point that most schools in the world can now consider it for their kids.

In most countries the Internet, that is EMAIL and WEB, is not available in schools.

For kids to graduate without an intimate and second nature experience with the Internet leaves them seriously unprepared.

This condition is persistent, and worsening as the costs of equipment and access already out of the reach of schools is increasing - the "Digital Divide" is actually only an economic divide.

The Problem

  • The equipment is too expensive
  • Local per-minute dial up charges are too expensive
  • There is no phone service

What we have installed and feel is possible for most schools to afford:

Computer Lab

  • Old, cheap computers behaving like brand new high speed computers
  • No license fees for ANY software
  • Email and Web for every student without the cost of being online
  • Email and Web for schools that don't even have a telephone
  • Teachers can explicitly choose the web material that the kids access and definitively reject web material that is not appropriate.
  • In existing labs, normally NO additional equipment is required to have this kind of Internet lab.
